Upcoming Training Classes and IBHE/WIOA/VA APPROVED Program Start Dates

The next sanitation certification trainings will be held on Friday January 10th from 9 am. to 5 pm. Call 773-535-3971 or 773-304-4058 for registration. You can also register online. The classes will be held at  Harold Washington Library Center 400 South State Street, 3rd fl., rm. 3N-6 Chicago, IL 60605.  No partial payments are accepted. Here’s how to enroll. Click on the “Food Sanitation” tab on the left menu. Then click the drop down for the number of individuals you are enrolling for the class and click the Register button.  Future dates are Friday February 7th, Friday March 6, Friday April 3 and Friday May 1st 2020.

Career Pathway Hospitality 5 week Training now enrolling for
Hospitality and Service Industry, Career Pathway and Food Service Manager  Class starts on February 3rd 2020.

The HSI program prepares students for employment in three sectors of the hospitality industry. They are Food Service, Customer Service and Hotel Uniform Services.  The program is inclusive of professional industry certifications (2) in food service sanitation from the City of Chicago and the National Restaurant Association. Professional Customer Service Certification from the National Restaurant Association. Hotel Uniform Services Certification from the American Hotel and Lodging Educational Institute and First Aid, Blood Pathogen and CPR Certifications from the American Red Cross, (2) ServSafe Alcohol and Illinois Basset Certifications.  The HSI program also includes comprehensive professionalism training and employment placement assistance. Students who complete this program will be able to apply the skills and credentials to diverse sectors of the hospitality and service industries.  This program meets four days per week for five hours per day.  Total contact time is twenty hours per week for a total of one hundred hours.
